Whoring... it's a thing in rugby, trust me
Updated: Dec 7, 2019

If you aren't a rugby player, you may be wondering what the hell, a whore in rugby? Yep. So I will explain.
At social rugby tournaments around, sometimes there just aren't enough players on a team to make up a team. This could be due to not enough showing up on game day, injuries, or players just too tired to play more games. Some people come to these social rugby tournaments without a team of their own or with their team but just can't get enough rugby, so they whore. They go play for the teams that need more players due to whatever circumstance. I have found that there is always a team that needs whores at a social rugby tournament.
All this now leading to a new endeavor by ADEDAR. There is a women's 7's tournament in Hermanus, South Africa (near Cape Town, a beautiful city if you ever want to visit it!). With time, ADEDAR will get more women to play (meaning females over 18), at the moment, we have an insufficient number of women. Most of our females playing are under 17. They can't play in this women's tournament. But it doesn't mean that we shouldn't or can't play come Feb. 22 for this tournament!
ADEDAR has opened up our women's team to whores. We could definitely use a few more to complete our team. This is open to any woman in the world who wants to play rugby. They can use it as an excuse to travel, to see the beautiful country of South Africa, to play rugby around the world, and to support ADEDAR and the growth of women playing rugby!
With a successful tournament in February, the idea is perhaps being able to do this again in the future, providing opportunities for women around the world to travel using rugby as their excuse! So, if you are interested, please get in touch. Let's grow this game together!
